All Volunteer Group
The Coffee County Humane Society is an all-volunteer group dedicated to the prevention of suffering, neglect, abuse and cruelty to animals. We seek to provide humane care and treatment for animals needing protection, increase spay and neuter rates, seek suitable homes for animals without owners, develop a program of humane education, and interact with the community with an emphasis on those who are in economically disadvantaged, in order to enhance their well-being by helping them provide necessary care for their companion animals.
Five Main Programs
The CCHS has five main programs to achieve these goals:
- Spay/Neuter assistance for low income families
- Foster homes for dogs, cats, and horses
- Cooperative Adoption Program with the Coffee County and Manchester Dog Shelters
- Education and Outreach to schools and the community
- Emergency Food for Low-income families (qualification
required)
