Cats for Adoption

Cats pictured are in foster care, placed through the Coffee County Humane Society. Adult cats are fully vetted, tested for Feline Leukemia / Feline AIDS (FIV), spayed or neutered and up to date on shots. If a kitten is too young or too small at the time of adoption, adoptive families must agree to spay or neuter the kitten at the appropriate time. This is a requirement of the CCHS adoptive process.

Most cats are a lot cuter than their pictures, cats tend to be camera shy. Please call (931)728-0903 to see if a specific kitty is still available. CCHS strives to keep the listing updated but a cat may have already been adopted.  There are usually other cats, especially kittens, who are not yet pictured online.

Way to go DOBT!! Great work!

WOW! What A Week

We get so busy sometimes that we forget to catch up our followers on how many dogs are actually saved each week so.....Here are just a few photos of the dogs that made it out of the shelter happy and alive this past week. A special thank you to Tractor Supply of Manchester for letting us bring adoptables to their store on Saturday. From that event alone SEVEN dogs found new homes.
Our thank you for saving our a**es award this week goes to our rescue friend Karen Smith Clark for taking THREE pregnant dogs from the shelter Saturday afternoon. All three of these dogs will never have another litter of puppies and all the babies born will be spayed and neutered and never become homeless unwanted pets.
We ask for donations last week and we were able to raise a bit over half of what we needed to neuter three more dogs. We will set at least one neuter appointment this week and hopefully with a little more help be able to do all three dogs in the near future. We appreciate each and every one of our friends and followers who continue to share and support our efforts.
